The burning question on everyone’s minds: will Swift manage to return in time to catch the game, where her boyfriend Travis Kelce is set to play for the Kansas City Chiefs?

Swift’s final concert in Tokyo, wrapping up the Japan leg of her multi-continental Eras Tour, concluded on Saturday night local time. Fans worldwide are now feverishly calculating whether she has sufficient time to travel back to Las Vegas.

Fortunately for Swift, Japan’s geographic position works in her favor. Situated to the west of the international dateline, Tokyo is a full 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas.

As Swift wraps up her concert, it’s still early dawn hours in Las Vegas, affording her ample time to return if she jets off immediately after the show.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter has been a regular fixture at Kansas City Chiefs games since she was spotted in Kelce’s family suite last September, igniting speculation about their relationship status. Both parties later confirmed their romance in separate interviews, drawing newfound attention to football and boosting ratings since their public revelation.

This influence was palpable in Tokyo, where thousands of fans attending Swift’s concerts donned Kelce’s number 87 jersey and other NFL-inspired attire.

Among them were Roke and Hiro from Saitama, who transitioned from NFL fans to “Swifties” following Kelce and Swift’s relationship.

Indonesian fan Ari Novianti, clutching a pouch made from a toddler-sized Chiefs jersey, expressed her hope that Swift would make it back in time for the game.

Tricia Mears from the US, adorned in a Chiefs jacket, praised Swift for her empowering influence on women and lauded Kelce for his unwavering support of her career.

Swift’s recent embrace and kiss with Kelce on the field after the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win in January sent fans into a frenzy on social media, further solidifying their status as a power couple.

Many international fans, including Welch, traveled to Tokyo for Swift’s concerts, with some attending all four nights.

Swift, who last performed in Tokyo during her Reputation stadium tour in 2018, expressed gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support, particularly those who traveled long distances to attend. She also celebrated her recent Grammy win for album of the year, making her the artist with the most wins in this prestigious category.

Ahead of her Grammy win, Swift had planned to announce her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” either at the Grammys or in Tokyo, depending on the outcome.
