Roberto De Zerbi admitted that a depleted Brighton is losing too many points in the Premier League following a frustrating goalless stalemate with Wolves.
Brighton dominated possession at the Amex Stadium as they extended their unbeaten home run to a club-record nine top-flight fixtures, climbing to seventh, surpassing Manchester United on goal difference.
However, the Seagulls, lacking a cutting edge on Monday evening, have drawn five of those fixtures and a league-high eight matches overall.
Brighton boss De Zerbi feels that a lengthy injury list and European commitments are impacting his side’s league results.
“We have to understand the situation of injuries, we have to understand how much energy we spent in the Europa League, in the FA Cup, we have to analyze if we will be lucky or unlucky,” said the Italian, whose side drew 0-0 with West Ham in their previous game.
